Places Of Interest
Jakhoo Hills: The highest peak of the hill station, located at an altitude of 8500 feet above the sea level. This place is visited not only for awesome view of stunning Himalayas. But also by pilgrims. There is an ancient Jakhoo Temple, where a mammoth deity of Lord Hanuman, the chief deity of the city, is worshipped.
The Ridge: This place is the centre point of the city giving you an astonishing view of the mountain peaks around. It is a wide space that runs from east to west along the famous Mall Road. The Scandal Point on the west is another tourist attraction.
Summer Hill: Situated at the height of 1283 meters above the sea level, this hill is also called Potter’s Hill. In the past potters use to come here and collect the clay to make pots. This hill is a part of the cluster of seven hills. Hence, you are sure to witness spectacular view of the valley.
The Shimla State Museum: Built in the year 1974, in order to preserve the cultural richness and manifest fascinating past of the city. It is located at Mount Pleasant. Annadale: The only golf course and heli-pad of Shimla, Annadale was once upon a time the playground of British. It is one of the star attractions of Shimla and is located 4 kms away from The Ridge.
